Our goal at Flexmappers is to demystify the geospatial landscape. We help clients take ideas and formulate working plans for building geospatial applications. Taking spatial - location based - data we can provide end to end solutions. Visualization is a key part of our work. This often involves buiding custom Internet maps. We use the latest Flex and Flash technology to build rich Internet applications (RIA's).

We can take your location based data and build applications to help users visualize, relate and interact with this data.

mash up map development Map Mash Ups We have built a range of mapping mash ups. Combining video, text and imagery, linking them via their location on interactive Internet maps. Often using clickable points we display information in user friendly ways. So updated snow reports for Utah ski resorts fed from RSS, weather forecasts by locations from Yahoo, geolocated blogs and webcams. We can associate any location based data in the same intuitive manner.

GIS map development GIS Maps
A number of our clients have their data in geospatial formats such as shapefiles or stored in databases and accessesd via PostGIS or ArcSDE. We have built a range of applications which display this data. In some cases we have added advanced GIS functionality including geospatial queries and data extraction. Sometimes there is a need to combine basemaps from the likes of Google maps with geospatial server output including WMS overlays or data from WFS requests. A recent example would be an application which resembled the Zillow map.

There are a range of mapping API's now available. We have experience working with a number of these offerings. Most notably we like the Mapquest Flex API.
